What do you think of young kids coloring their hair?

im 12, 13 in july this year. i have blonde hair, but i'm seeming to not really like the color of my hair that much anymore. i WOULD like to try blonde hair, but we all know that if you color your hair, you cant get your original color back :[ do you think 12 is too young? im in 7th grade, and i actually even know a few 6th or 5th graders who have already colored their hair. and ive been trying and trying to convince my mom to let me color it, but she wont let me. so i wanna know what YOU think. am i too young? should i stick with the blonde hair or go to a brunette? please help ! :D

i think kids need to learn to appreciate their own unique look instead of something they are not. too many adults these days haven't seemed to accomplish this and have no sense of self.

don't listen to the magazines. makeup and hair should never make you look like somebody totally different, it should be you but better. maybe when you're older you can try some highlights just to make the color pop more.

but you are not a brunette, you are a blonde. think about all the good things about bein different from other people, not how better it would be to be sumthin else.cuz trust me, that feeling will never go away until you do love yourself and your own look. if you dye it brown, you will want to be blonde 2 weeks later.

well your hair starts falling out sooo if you do just watch out on the type of chemicals your puttin on your hair...i would rather wait another year or 2...there's really no point dying your hair

Girl, your young. Your only 12. Stick with your natural color. Im 14 and my mom still won't let me dye my hair until im 16! Also, dying your hair has some bad affects like it takes all the moisture out of your hair and makes it dry and frizzy. And after a month your natural color is going to start growing back in and your hair will be two different colors! You don't want that! Be natural while your still young.

i think that you should get the temporary hair die so that you can see if you actually like it first then if you change ur mind you can go back to your original color

Ok I was kinda in ur situation last year, I was 13 when I dyed my hair from dirty blonde to black and red, I love it! The thing is, is that I don't want to go back to my natural color, in the summer when I would get tan my hair would blend into my skin and it would look horrible! I would sugest that you go with your gut instinct with this wether that be staying brunette or going blonde, thats what I told myself, especially going from blonde to black. Its up to you, the people who answer this question don't know whats going on in your head, meaning we don't know wether this is something that you want to do really badly, think about it for a while. I thought about dying my hair for a few months especially since it was a big change and I have anxiety issues with change. Again we don't know you on a personal bassis. The only advise I can give you is to really think about it hard, and then go from there.
