What's a trustworthy salon to go to when coloring hair?

I've heard good things about Aveda, local beauty schools, and Paul Mitchell so far. That's about it.

What's a trustworthy salon to go to when coloring hair?

REGIS

What's a trustworthy salon to go to when coloring hair?

I loooooooooove Paul Mitchell. I would suggest going there.

What's a trustworthy salon to go to when coloring hair?

Don't go to a beauty school LOL

JCPenneys has a great salon, and they focus on customer service. If you aren't happy, they will MAKE you happy. I've never gotten a bad dye job there.

I would not trust my fellow classmates to color my hair unless expressly under my direction on how to do so. Most people just do not like hair coloring. :-)

What's a trustworthy salon to go to when coloring hair?

Ask the advice of people that you see that have good hair color. All advertisements are going to look good. Word of mouth and personal experiences are best.

What's a trustworthy salon to go to when coloring hair?

Never never never go to local beauty schools. They did my aunt one time and they deystroyed her hair. Poor doll, her hair took forever to grow out.

What's a trustworthy salon to go to when coloring hair?

The Split End Salon is a great one! They do a great job on highlights, lowlights, and full hair colorings! I %26lt;3 them!

The website is "www.thesplitendsalons.com"

What's a trustworthy salon to go to when coloring hair?

I go to Pure Beauty. My sis-in-law goes to Aveda and my co-worker's Aunt works for Paul Mitchell and does her hair....they are all great, but it may take time to find the RIGHT stylist for you. My stylist took 2 times before she gave me the perfect cut/highlights

My Stylist loves me....I tell her what I'd like for my hair to look like and she does something completely different (on purpose) and I love it.

If that's you in the picture I think you would look good if you stayed the same color...maybe just brighten it up a bit with auburn highlights and cut it like Reese...in the link I sent. (I know you didn't ask for a style, but I looked anyway.....)

How soon can I swim in a pool after coloring hair?

at least a week.

but then your hair will still be affected by the chlorine... just a lil less.

How soon can I swim in a pool after coloring hair?

2 days at best

How soon can I swim in a pool after coloring hair?

After 24 hours. BUT TO BE SAFE.. I would wait 2-3 days.. maybe a week

%26lt;3

How soon can I swim in a pool after coloring hair?

I went in two days after I colored mine. I would have gone in sooner but it was cool and rainy.

How soon can I swim in a pool after coloring hair?

As soon as you want.

It doesn't matter.

As long as you washed it

out right it shouldn't bleed out or anything.

How soon can I swim in a pool after coloring hair?

At least wait a few days. I had some highlights put in my hair last summer, and swam the next day...hair turned a pukey green.

How soon can I swim in a pool after coloring hair?

I just got mine done, and the hairdresser said to wait atleast three days.

How soon can I swim in a pool after coloring hair?

I wouldn't swim at all..the chlorine will take all the color out of your hair. No matter what the color is...(and if you're blonde it will turn your hair green)

How soon can I swim in a pool after coloring hair?

if you bleached it, you have to wait a week or else it'll turn green. if its just colored, then i would wait about 2 or 3 days.

good luck.

How soon can I swim in a pool after coloring hair?

i went a couple of days after.. but mine was black, if its a lighter color the chlorine might mess it up. maybe.. im just guessing, but mine was fine.

How soon can I swim in a pool after coloring hair?

make sure u wet hair before entering pool just like a full glass of water once it's full it's full

How soon can I swim in a pool after coloring hair?

after you wash it at least once. Just make sure you rinse it well after you swim or the chlorine will change the color

How soon can I swim in a pool after coloring hair?

If you did blonde be careful if the pool has a lot of chlorine it will turn it green. It happened to my mom, horrible! Wait at least a week.

How soon can I swim in a pool after coloring hair?

depends on your what colour you put in !!

Coloring hair less than 2 weeks I have gray hair showing at scalp...does my hair grow too quickly?

Most likely, No, your hair does not grow too quickly, your haircolor is fading too quickly. Stop coloring your hair at home with a box, you are only damaging it! Think of all the money you could have saved if you were just using GOOD haircolor from a salon and only coloring every 6 weeks. Go to a SuperCuts or a HairCuttery if you have them. They are the most affordable but they know what they're doing!

If it is a matter of hair growing too quickly, then you should switch to a less harmful color system. Redken Shades EQ is a great haircolor for you to try in the salon. It's a demi-permanent color that thinks it's a conditioner! Your hair will feel better AFTER you color! Also, you probably need to change shampoo and conditioners. You want something that is for color-treated hair, and professional products are always the best. My favorites are Redken Color Care shampoo and Conditioner and Biolage Color Care. If you are using a shampoo that says "moisturizing" or "For dry hair"- toss it out! These will only make your color fade faster.

If you insist on using a box of color from the store, there is a new color out, I think loreal makes it, that is a NO AMMONIA NO LIFT color. Try that, it will be better for your hair and it won't hurt it to be doing it that often.

My best advice is to see a professional. If you go to one of the salons I mentioned, walk in and just talk to one of them. Explain your problem. There is no charge for advice, and they will know what is best for your hair.

Coloring hair less than 2 weeks I have gray hair showing at scalp...does my hair grow too quickly?

Yes, your hair grows at break-neck finger nail speed!

try using a better brand of color may help.

Can I dye my hair blonde after coloring it a medium brown?

Well, I just read some answers to similar questions and it looks like the only thing I can do is have a stylist strip out the color and then bleach my hair...has anyone had this done and had good results?? Everything I've read sounds like it left their hair feeling like straw...thanks for any responses.

Can I dye my hair blonde after coloring it a medium brown?

Im a brunette...I had it blonde and then went to platinum after having the whole intense strip job. I absolutely loved it..for...about a month..but in all honesty, the amazing color isnt worth having ur hair suffer with all of the damage %26amp; it def. does feel like straw..i decided to leave mine for about 4 months and had to keep redying it..yah, needless to say I lost a bunch of hair that just decided to "break off"

my suggestions:

intense highlights! much easier to maintain..just as cute.

Can I dye my hair blonde after coloring it a medium brown?

trust me you don't want to be blonde. brunettes have more fun

Can I dye my hair blonde after coloring it a medium brown?

I would get highlights if I were you.

Can I dye my hair blonde after coloring it a medium brown?

Yes , but wait a couple of weeks.

Can I dye my hair blonde after coloring it a medium brown?

I've had my hair stripped many times. I change my color all the time. It does put your hair in a bad place. But just condition it well for about a week and it'll bounce back to health. Just make sure a professional does it.

Can I dye my hair blonde after coloring it a medium brown?

yah, the stylist will have to take care of that for you. since you're going from a darker color to a lighter one. if you have a toni and guy anywhere near you GO THERE. every one i've been to does amazing hair and it never feels like straw. i've changed my color about 4 times just in the last year! lol

Can I dye my hair blonde after coloring it a medium brown?

yes i did once i had dyed my hair for holloween party , my sister got me the wrong dye and it was permant, i had to go to the stylist to get it striped, and it was not a horrible experience you actually find your real natural color in the experience. mine was red lol

Can I dye my hair blonde after coloring it a medium brown?

Go to a stylist, if you try to do it you hair will turn green or orange.

They have to strip the color out of the hair to recolor it.

Can I dye my hair blonde after coloring it a medium brown?

When color is stripped, it takes a lot more than the color - part of the hair shaft is taken with it. Your hair can't take it.

What is your natural color? Go with highlights.

Can I dye my hair blonde after coloring it a medium brown?

The one thing that you have to watch about coloring your hair blonde is red pigmentation. If you have any red pigments in your hair what-so-ever you take the chance in having a red tint to your hair. I recommend waiting at least 3 weeks before dying again to prevent damage. If you want to go all blonde, I would go have a stylist do it. If you want just highlights then you can do them yourself. I like the herbal essence highlighting kit. I have red pigments in my hair but the highlighting kit turned out fine.

Can I dye my hair blonde after coloring it a medium brown?

Well it does damage your hair and you will need to deep condition your hair two or three times a week...Just leave in conditioner for about an hour once a week...fifteen minutes wont hurt either if you have the extra time... but if you cant do that and make sure you have the extra moisture..then do not get it stripped...becuz your hair will turn like straw u't hurtnless u take care of it the way I said... If you do take care of it though...It won

How do you lighten your hair without coloring it?

I have dark blonde hair and i want it lighter

How do you lighten your hair without coloring it?

Lemon Juice.

%26lt;3,

How do you lighten your hair without coloring it?

Peroxide/lemon juice mix and sit in the sun all day, squirting more on when your hair drys.

How do you lighten your hair without coloring it?

Lemon juice, or lot's of UV (sun) exposure!

How do you lighten your hair without coloring it?

Clorox bleach

How do you lighten your hair without coloring it?

Have it done professionally or you'll be sorry.......

How do you lighten your hair without coloring it?

Go in the sun with lemon juice on the hair or peroxide

How do you lighten your hair without coloring it?

BLEACH IT

How do you lighten your hair without coloring it?

Try "Sun In"...can find it at a beauty supple or sometimes a local pharmacy store has it. Lemon Juice is ok, except it along with peroxide could burn your hair...if that happens you should get a hot oil treatment or try mayonaise (yes like in the jar) to condition it the damage done by the citrus or the bacterial killing agent in peroxide.

Kool Aid will also dye hair..however darkblonde does need lightened first to insure seeing the color.

How do you lighten your hair without coloring it?

Just be sure to mix a little conditioner into your peroxide or lemon juice. As well as condition your hair really good afterward to keep it from drying out to much.

How do you lighten your hair without coloring it?

Lemon Juice, Camomile Tea - that's the home solutions. Be careful with peroxide because it damages hair a lot but works (try a little bit on your hand and massage into your hair). Also in the long run you can find a hair shampoo and conditioners that have lightening effects. For example John Frieda (I loooooove them!!!!). I think Herbal Essences have that type of shampoos also.

How do you lighten your hair without coloring it?

you get a gel that lightens your hair!!!!!!!!

How do you lighten your hair without coloring it?

get highlights! i got some and it is better than smelling like a lemon!

How do you lighten your hair without coloring it?

Putting blonded foil-highlights into it will brighten it a couple notches. A few strands around the face is what most folks do.

Even a little change can go a long way in improving your overall look!

Hair emergency. coloring DISASTER. help me please?

Ok, i have over processed hair, i got it back to normal heath nd decided to dye it again.

WELL.. i decided to do the under layer black, it turned out great.

AND THE top layer bleach blonde. It wasnt turning out, on my ends, like all my old hair thats been dyed a thousand times, BUT IT DID work on my crown, and turned it REALLY blonde.

So needless to say its super blonde, fades into redish, and underneathe is black.

Do you know any way, i can lighten the blonde, i been washing it alot, its helpin a lil.

And also, i know i cant dye it anymore,

like the red doesnt look too bad, it looks like i intentially did it.

it like fades from really blonde to red to blac..

WHAT CAN I DO.

right now im using a repair shampoo..

to get my hair soft, and undo some of the damage..

should i wait it out?

what products will help lighten it.

Im like panicking. on the verge of tears..

help?

Hair emergency. coloring DISASTER. help me please?

Honey, I hate to say this...but your hair is over processed and if you try to do anything more to it yourself...you won't have to worry about cutting it off. Most of it may be fixable....but it absolutely has to be done by a professional colorist. You will need to be using professional reconstructing conditioners and shampoos. Don't, under any circumstances use cheap over the counter shampoo and conditioning treatment as most of them are either heavily waxed based....or highly alkaline and will just dry your hair out even more than it already is.

I deal with color disasters every day at work. I want to see this work out for you without the loss of too much hair. What your describing to me is fixable as long as you get it done by a professional.

Good luck.

Hair emergency. coloring DISASTER. help me please?

Hair emergency. coloring DISASTER. help me please?

Go to a store and buy Dove's intensive repair shampoo, conditioner, and deep conditioner. It's in a dark blue bottle. Shampoo your hair only every other day but condition every day and deep condition twice a week. Wash your hair gently with lukewarm water. You will need to get your split ends trimmed. You need to be more worried about conditioning your hair rather than making your hair lighter.
