I have been getting high lights and low lights and I really like the color...its just getting too expensive to go to a professional all the time. So, I was thinking I'd just go to a beauty school and check out the prices there...but...Idk if they will do the same
kind of job a professional could. **No offense to anyone in beauty school**
Do ppl in beauty schools do a good job when it come to hair coloring and hilights? Or not really?
People in beauty schools are learning. Most places have a senior stylist or above standing by for help or any assistance. I've never had a problem. Ask for someone whose been their awhile like the other answerer said. The school out here does a fantastic job most girls going to prom use them for hair and make up. The prices are reasonable and the girls/stylists understand what my daughter wants.

It depends on what level they are training @.
They do have some one there to help %26amp; watch over it but level one are starters %26amp; dont really know much. I would ask for level 2-3 they then know what they are doing.

just like the chance you take that a professional will actually do a good job, there's a chance that the student will not be so great...being a professional is no guarantee of doing it right, and it's the same with the students. i've gone to beauty schools and thought they did at least as good a job, and some much better, than the 'professionals' i have seen. the students are overseen by their instructors, and are not allowed to work on real people until they're ready. at least try it; i have had very good, satisfactory experiences with them!

I think it just depends on the student, really. I had a really BAD dye job done in a beauty school years ago. OMG. Never again.
Some salons, though, have different levels of stylists... The newer stylists are cheaper. In Atlanta, one high-end salon (can't remember the name for the life of me) had an adjacent salon called "New Talents" for hairdressers that were newer to the biz to work in before they moved up to the more expensive salon. Might want to check around and see if you could save money that way.

The Salon Professional Academy is a good place to go. They are a decent price $20 for full color and $30 for highlights. I don't know if you have one in your area, but the staff is nice and the school is nice. You have to learn to be patient if you lose your cool if someone is taking their time.

I just got a cut done by paul micthells bueaty school and they were incredibly nice to me and they had an incsructor by there side all the time but that still didn't mean they did a good job. but they were cheap too. $5.50 for a cut, $25.00 for a dye and $20 for a 1/2 head highlight, and 30$ for a full one depending on how much hair you have. but i dont reccomend a highlights or dye done by a bueaty school.

hi. i have a friend who went to beauty school and now she is working for my local hair salon. she is really good. she doesn't mess up anything and she always asks questions to fit your needs. i had a friend who went to a beauty school and she got her hair done by the top level students who were leaving. She got a haircut and highlights and they were awesome. She also said they had very reasonable prices. I hope this helps.
