Box coloring my hair has made my hair fall out for the past two months. Any suggestions?

Two months ago I died my hair back to back days with box color. I think I used too much solution each time as well. Ever since my hair has been dryed and falling out when ever I wash or style my hair. Is there any product I can use to stop the hair thinning? I beginning to look bald! Or am I possibly just balding (I am a 23 year old male.) Any suggestions will help!

You might want to go to a salon. They have special shampoos and plus experience. They could probably tell you if it is just you balding or the products...could be either. But I would go to one that seems a little nicer...where the ladies (and gentlemen) seem to have experience and aren't right out of the beauty school.

well it all depends what kind of box color you used and if you say you think you used too much developer..didnt it come pre-measured and pretty much ready to go? i would say that for future reference.. try NEVER to color your hair back to back in 2 days, leave it some breathing room ;p i recommend deep conditioning treatments then maybe just trim as much of the damaged hair as you can untill its all been cut away.. you can go to any salon really and they will know what to do or at least they should ^.^

the chemicals that were in the box colored didnt really go well with your hair, obviously. try going to a professional salon to see what they say. they will probably just tell you to buy some products that they have at the store.

i went through this problem too. when i would take a shower, my hair would just come out in clumps. it was gross. if you straighten your hair, make sure its on a lower heat, because then that wont help at all.or you can buy hair vitamins, you can get them at a health food store, they helped me.

if you just want shampoo, you can use tail and mane, its not for horses, dont worry. but it does make your hair really strong and repairs the damage.

Get a fresh hair cut.

Purchase a deep conditioner that you will apply once a week.

Use mayonnaise in your hair once a week as well. Even though the smell is bad, it really helps.

well 1st of all dying back 2 back isn't safe. ur suppose to give ur hair at least 2-4wks before dying again. why didn't u dye then use a rinse?

I think u should shave all your hair off so that all the chemically treated hair is gone and then let all the unchemically treated hair grow in and next time see a professional

No wonder! You're are practically killing your hair! I'd go to a hair colorist immediately that specializes in these kind of disasters (yes, they're actually people who do that for a living, and make good money for it.) Read this blog (rant) about this.

Nothing you did on top will affect the amount of hair you have growning from under your skin. what you are seeing now is the lack of hair from breakage. Just leave it alone, and let it grow back out. Hair grows between 1/2 to an inch a month depending on your genetics.

Badly damaged hair breaks at the scalp. To treat hair loss apply a little lemon juice with some black tea. Massage well and shampoo.Rub oil into the scalp.
