What's a trustworthy salon to go to when coloring hair?

I've heard good things about Aveda, local beauty schools, and Paul Mitchell so far. That's about it.

What's a trustworthy salon to go to when coloring hair?

REGIS

What's a trustworthy salon to go to when coloring hair?

I loooooooooove Paul Mitchell. I would suggest going there.

What's a trustworthy salon to go to when coloring hair?

Don't go to a beauty school LOL

JCPenneys has a great salon, and they focus on customer service. If you aren't happy, they will MAKE you happy. I've never gotten a bad dye job there.

I would not trust my fellow classmates to color my hair unless expressly under my direction on how to do so. Most people just do not like hair coloring. :-)

What's a trustworthy salon to go to when coloring hair?

Ask the advice of people that you see that have good hair color. All advertisements are going to look good. Word of mouth and personal experiences are best.

What's a trustworthy salon to go to when coloring hair?

Never never never go to local beauty schools. They did my aunt one time and they deystroyed her hair. Poor doll, her hair took forever to grow out.

What's a trustworthy salon to go to when coloring hair?

The Split End Salon is a great one! They do a great job on highlights, lowlights, and full hair colorings! I %26lt;3 them!

The website is "www.thesplitendsalons.com"

What's a trustworthy salon to go to when coloring hair?

I go to Pure Beauty. My sis-in-law goes to Aveda and my co-worker's Aunt works for Paul Mitchell and does her hair....they are all great, but it may take time to find the RIGHT stylist for you. My stylist took 2 times before she gave me the perfect cut/highlights

My Stylist loves me....I tell her what I'd like for my hair to look like and she does something completely different (on purpose) and I love it.

If that's you in the picture I think you would look good if you stayed the same color...maybe just brighten it up a bit with auburn highlights and cut it like Reese...in the link I sent. (I know you didn't ask for a style, but I looked anyway.....)

How soon can I swim in a pool after coloring hair?

at least a week.

but then your hair will still be affected by the chlorine... just a lil less.

How soon can I swim in a pool after coloring hair?

2 days at best

How soon can I swim in a pool after coloring hair?

After 24 hours. BUT TO BE SAFE.. I would wait 2-3 days.. maybe a week

%26lt;3

How soon can I swim in a pool after coloring hair?

I went in two days after I colored mine. I would have gone in sooner but it was cool and rainy.

How soon can I swim in a pool after coloring hair?

As soon as you want.

It doesn't matter.

As long as you washed it

out right it shouldn't bleed out or anything.

How soon can I swim in a pool after coloring hair?

At least wait a few days. I had some highlights put in my hair last summer, and swam the next day...hair turned a pukey green.

How soon can I swim in a pool after coloring hair?

I just got mine done, and the hairdresser said to wait atleast three days.

How soon can I swim in a pool after coloring hair?

I wouldn't swim at all..the chlorine will take all the color out of your hair. No matter what the color is...(and if you're blonde it will turn your hair green)

How soon can I swim in a pool after coloring hair?

if you bleached it, you have to wait a week or else it'll turn green. if its just colored, then i would wait about 2 or 3 days.

good luck.

How soon can I swim in a pool after coloring hair?

i went a couple of days after.. but mine was black, if its a lighter color the chlorine might mess it up. maybe.. im just guessing, but mine was fine.

How soon can I swim in a pool after coloring hair?

make sure u wet hair before entering pool just like a full glass of water once it's full it's full

How soon can I swim in a pool after coloring hair?

after you wash it at least once. Just make sure you rinse it well after you swim or the chlorine will change the color

How soon can I swim in a pool after coloring hair?

If you did blonde be careful if the pool has a lot of chlorine it will turn it green. It happened to my mom, horrible! Wait at least a week.

How soon can I swim in a pool after coloring hair?

depends on your what colour you put in !!

Coloring hair less than 2 weeks I have gray hair showing at scalp...does my hair grow too quickly?

Most likely, No, your hair does not grow too quickly, your haircolor is fading too quickly. Stop coloring your hair at home with a box, you are only damaging it! Think of all the money you could have saved if you were just using GOOD haircolor from a salon and only coloring every 6 weeks. Go to a SuperCuts or a HairCuttery if you have them. They are the most affordable but they know what they're doing!

If it is a matter of hair growing too quickly, then you should switch to a less harmful color system. Redken Shades EQ is a great haircolor for you to try in the salon. It's a demi-permanent color that thinks it's a conditioner! Your hair will feel better AFTER you color! Also, you probably need to change shampoo and conditioners. You want something that is for color-treated hair, and professional products are always the best. My favorites are Redken Color Care shampoo and Conditioner and Biolage Color Care. If you are using a shampoo that says "moisturizing" or "For dry hair"- toss it out! These will only make your color fade faster.

If you insist on using a box of color from the store, there is a new color out, I think loreal makes it, that is a NO AMMONIA NO LIFT color. Try that, it will be better for your hair and it won't hurt it to be doing it that often.

My best advice is to see a professional. If you go to one of the salons I mentioned, walk in and just talk to one of them. Explain your problem. There is no charge for advice, and they will know what is best for your hair.

Coloring hair less than 2 weeks I have gray hair showing at scalp...does my hair grow too quickly?

Yes, your hair grows at break-neck finger nail speed!

Coloring hair less than 2 weeks I have gray hair showing at scalp...does my hair grow too quickly?

try using a better brand of color may help.

Can I dye my hair blonde after coloring it a medium brown?

Well, I just read some answers to similar questions and it looks like the only thing I can do is have a stylist strip out the color and then bleach my hair...has anyone had this done and had good results?? Everything I've read sounds like it left their hair feeling like straw...thanks for any responses.

Can I dye my hair blonde after coloring it a medium brown?

Im a brunette...I had it blonde and then went to platinum after having the whole intense strip job. I absolutely loved it..for...about a month..but in all honesty, the amazing color isnt worth having ur hair suffer with all of the damage %26amp; it def. does feel like straw..i decided to leave mine for about 4 months and had to keep redying it..yah, needless to say I lost a bunch of hair that just decided to "break off"

my suggestions:

intense highlights! much easier to maintain..just as cute.

Can I dye my hair blonde after coloring it a medium brown?

trust me you don't want to be blonde. brunettes have more fun

Can I dye my hair blonde after coloring it a medium brown?

I would get highlights if I were you.

Can I dye my hair blonde after coloring it a medium brown?

Yes , but wait a couple of weeks.

Can I dye my hair blonde after coloring it a medium brown?

I've had my hair stripped many times. I change my color all the time. It does put your hair in a bad place. But just condition it well for about a week and it'll bounce back to health. Just make sure a professional does it.

Can I dye my hair blonde after coloring it a medium brown?

yah, the stylist will have to take care of that for you. since you're going from a darker color to a lighter one. if you have a toni and guy anywhere near you GO THERE. every one i've been to does amazing hair and it never feels like straw. i've changed my color about 4 times just in the last year! lol

Can I dye my hair blonde after coloring it a medium brown?

yes i did once i had dyed my hair for holloween party , my sister got me the wrong dye and it was permant, i had to go to the stylist to get it striped, and it was not a horrible experience you actually find your real natural color in the experience. mine was red lol

Can I dye my hair blonde after coloring it a medium brown?

Go to a stylist, if you try to do it you hair will turn green or orange.

They have to strip the color out of the hair to recolor it.

Can I dye my hair blonde after coloring it a medium brown?

When color is stripped, it takes a lot more than the color - part of the hair shaft is taken with it. Your hair can't take it.

What is your natural color? Go with highlights.

Can I dye my hair blonde after coloring it a medium brown?

The one thing that you have to watch about coloring your hair blonde is red pigmentation. If you have any red pigments in your hair what-so-ever you take the chance in having a red tint to your hair. I recommend waiting at least 3 weeks before dying again to prevent damage. If you want to go all blonde, I would go have a stylist do it. If you want just highlights then you can do them yourself. I like the herbal essence highlighting kit. I have red pigments in my hair but the highlighting kit turned out fine.

Can I dye my hair blonde after coloring it a medium brown?

Well it does damage your hair and you will need to deep condition your hair two or three times a week...Just leave in conditioner for about an hour once a week...fifteen minutes wont hurt either if you have the extra time... but if you cant do that and make sure you have the extra moisture..then do not get it stripped...becuz your hair will turn like straw u't hurtnless u take care of it the way I said... If you do take care of it though...It won

How do you lighten your hair without coloring it?

I have dark blonde hair and i want it lighter

How do you lighten your hair without coloring it?

Lemon Juice.

%26lt;3,

How do you lighten your hair without coloring it?

Peroxide/lemon juice mix and sit in the sun all day, squirting more on when your hair drys.

How do you lighten your hair without coloring it?

Lemon juice, or lot's of UV (sun) exposure!

How do you lighten your hair without coloring it?

Clorox bleach

How do you lighten your hair without coloring it?

Have it done professionally or you'll be sorry.......

How do you lighten your hair without coloring it?

Go in the sun with lemon juice on the hair or peroxide

How do you lighten your hair without coloring it?

BLEACH IT

How do you lighten your hair without coloring it?

Try "Sun In"...can find it at a beauty supple or sometimes a local pharmacy store has it. Lemon Juice is ok, except it along with peroxide could burn your hair...if that happens you should get a hot oil treatment or try mayonaise (yes like in the jar) to condition it the damage done by the citrus or the bacterial killing agent in peroxide.

Kool Aid will also dye hair..however darkblonde does need lightened first to insure seeing the color.

How do you lighten your hair without coloring it?

Just be sure to mix a little conditioner into your peroxide or lemon juice. As well as condition your hair really good afterward to keep it from drying out to much.

How do you lighten your hair without coloring it?

Lemon Juice, Camomile Tea - that's the home solutions. Be careful with peroxide because it damages hair a lot but works (try a little bit on your hand and massage into your hair). Also in the long run you can find a hair shampoo and conditioners that have lightening effects. For example John Frieda (I loooooove them!!!!). I think Herbal Essences have that type of shampoos also.

How do you lighten your hair without coloring it?

you get a gel that lightens your hair!!!!!!!!

How do you lighten your hair without coloring it?

get highlights! i got some and it is better than smelling like a lemon!

How do you lighten your hair without coloring it?

Putting blonded foil-highlights into it will brighten it a couple notches. A few strands around the face is what most folks do.

Even a little change can go a long way in improving your overall look!

Hair emergency. coloring DISASTER. help me please?

Ok, i have over processed hair, i got it back to normal heath nd decided to dye it again.

WELL.. i decided to do the under layer black, it turned out great.

AND THE top layer bleach blonde. It wasnt turning out, on my ends, like all my old hair thats been dyed a thousand times, BUT IT DID work on my crown, and turned it REALLY blonde.

So needless to say its super blonde, fades into redish, and underneathe is black.

Do you know any way, i can lighten the blonde, i been washing it alot, its helpin a lil.

And also, i know i cant dye it anymore,

like the red doesnt look too bad, it looks like i intentially did it.

it like fades from really blonde to red to blac..

WHAT CAN I DO.

right now im using a repair shampoo..

to get my hair soft, and undo some of the damage..

should i wait it out?

what products will help lighten it.

Im like panicking. on the verge of tears..

help?

Hair emergency. coloring DISASTER. help me please?

Honey, I hate to say this...but your hair is over processed and if you try to do anything more to it yourself...you won't have to worry about cutting it off. Most of it may be fixable....but it absolutely has to be done by a professional colorist. You will need to be using professional reconstructing conditioners and shampoos. Don't, under any circumstances use cheap over the counter shampoo and conditioning treatment as most of them are either heavily waxed based....or highly alkaline and will just dry your hair out even more than it already is.

I deal with color disasters every day at work. I want to see this work out for you without the loss of too much hair. What your describing to me is fixable as long as you get it done by a professional.

Good luck.

Hair emergency. coloring DISASTER. help me please?

ummm, go to a salon?

i fu think some r too expensive..

go to lik esuper cut or something.

its like10$.

:]

Hair emergency. coloring DISASTER. help me please?

see a pro

Hair emergency. coloring DISASTER. help me please?

Go to a store and buy Dove's intensive repair shampoo, conditioner, and deep conditioner. It's in a dark blue bottle. Shampoo your hair only every other day but condition every day and deep condition twice a week. Wash your hair gently with lukewarm water. You will need to get your split ends trimmed. You need to be more worried about conditioning your hair rather than making your hair lighter.

Will food coloring dye your hair permanetly?

we are trying to temporarily streak our hair and were wondering if food coloring would last just a short amount of time. please help. thank you.

Will food coloring dye your hair permanetly?

koolaid is the best thing for that, me and my sisters used to do that all the time. And it comes in better colors than food dye

Will food coloring dye your hair permanetly?

No, it will wash out eventually.

Will food coloring dye your hair permanetly?

NO..just temporary

Will food coloring dye your hair permanetly?

No, it won't!

Will food coloring dye your hair permanetly?

um yea i have no idea but actually i wana thank you i nver thought of triyng that thanx but i dont think ill stay on fir long i mean its food coloring

Will food coloring dye your hair permanetly?

yes and no.. It can cause an alteration in your color and it will not be the same for a while but eventually if you dont dye it permantely it will come back to normal.

Will food coloring dye your hair permanetly?

nope it will eventually fade out it may was out with a couple shampoo's

Will food coloring dye your hair permanetly?

Nah. it will wash out within a few weeks, if not sooner.

Koolaid effects the pigment more, I would suggest using that, like the first answer said.

Another thing you could do would be to go to the store and buy these Loreal cans. Its this mouse you put on your hair for like 20min and your hair stays the color for a month or so.

Will food coloring dye your hair permanetly?

lol of course not .. thats silly .. but if u want temp streaks thats a gd idea to use food color

What is the difference between Clairol "Nice and Easy" and "Hydrience"? I am col

brown(hair is naturally dark golden blond)and the N%26amp;E seems like it keeps the color longer. Thanks.

What is the difference between Clairol "Nice and Easy" and "Hydrience"? I am coloring my hair light golden

hydriance is amazing. it just has more moisture in it that the original brand. When your coloring your hair you want something thats got ALOT of moisturizer in it so your hair wont become dry and brittle.

My hair girl burned my hair by coloring it and using a flat iron. Any suggestions to help the dead e

The hair is completely dead and fried at the ends but it is so close to the top I cant cut it

HELP

My hair girl burned my hair by coloring it and using a flat iron. Any suggestions to help the dead ends?

there is no way to save dead ends. first of all, i would consider sueing your hair dresser (if she is not licensed, then of cousre you have will no case because u assumed the risk). the best way is to cut your hair before any more damage is done to it, by styling, blow-drying, etc. get a cute hair cut that will fit the frame of your face and your specific style. spring and summer are coming and it will be appropriate for the season. if u are still fighting the idea of cutting your hair, then you could always invest in stylish and good-quality wigs.

if you dont cut your hair, then it may become susceptible to more damage and may even fall out.

My hair girl burned my hair by coloring it and using a flat iron. Any suggestions to help the dead ends?

You'll have to cut the dead ends off, nothing else will really help, but you can wait till it grows out a little.

My hair girl burned my hair by coloring it and using a flat iron. Any suggestions to help the dead ends?

well u would prolly have to go get a hair trim to trim off the dead ends

My hair girl burned my hair by coloring it and using a flat iron. Any suggestions to help the dead ends?

Trim or cut the dead ends off, and rub some lotion on it. It will help, then it will replace the vitamins you loss. It helps on my hair.

My hair girl burned my hair by coloring it and using a flat iron. Any suggestions to help the dead ends?

trim them-but if possible have it done by a proffesional

My hair girl burned my hair by coloring it and using a flat iron. Any suggestions to help the dead ends?

Garnier Fructis theres a little bottle, can't remember what its called, but its specially for split ends...I use it, actually im out, but anyway, I straiten my hair every day, and I never got/noticed a split end untill I ran out! (Now of course, I have a ton, but lets not get into that. LoL)

My hair girl burned my hair by coloring it and using a flat iron. Any suggestions to help the dead ends?

cut the dead ends off and let new hair grow

My hair girl burned my hair by coloring it and using a flat iron. Any suggestions to help the dead ends?

Get them cut when they're grown out enough and wont be cut too short for you.

Use good conditioners.

Use leave-in conditioners.

Try somekind of soy pro-pack or something.

Get Split End Mender by Bed Head I believe.

Dont color it for awhile.

Stay away from thermal use... if you do curl or straighten your hair use a thermal protection spray. CHI has a Thermal Polishing spray.

What does having a tattoo have to do with coloring your hair?

I just read someone's answer to a question where they told someone that they could not color their hair now that they had a tattoo. I've never heard that before. Thats not true is it?

What does having a tattoo have to do with coloring your hair?

Nobody is dumb or stupid... Allergic reactions from hair coloring and tatts can be due to the high content of para-phenylenediamine (PPD), which is a color enhancer and is used in some hair dyes and Henna tatts more so than traditional tatts.

The connection between the 2 otherwise is a fallacy short of the fact you would not want to expose your fresh tatt to the chemicals involved in hair coloring/dye products.

What does having a tattoo have to do with coloring your hair?

they were either joking or just plain stupid. tattoos and hair coloring have nothing to do with each other.

What does having a tattoo have to do with coloring your hair?

They were just stupid.

What does having a tattoo have to do with coloring your hair?

thats a bunch of crap, i have a tattoo and i just recentlly died my hair.

What does having a tattoo have to do with coloring your hair?

I've been coloring my hair the entire time I've had tattoos, and have yet to run into a problem.

What does having a tattoo have to do with coloring your hair?

OMG I WAS JUST ABOUT TO POST THIS QUESTION!!! I saw that on the side of a hair dye box! It said, "If you have a tattoo, your chances of an allergic reaction may be increased." I was like.. what the --

What does having a tattoo have to do with coloring your hair?

nothing at all

i would sooner get a tattoo than color my hair, and most people would probably do the opposite.

What does having a tattoo have to do with coloring your hair?

Are you all that stupid-the hair dye will react with a new tattoo if the coloring product touches it-that's what the box says and that was what the question was about

What does having a tattoo have to do with coloring your hair?

no not true they were being or are stupid.

What does having a tattoo have to do with coloring your hair?

OK so if its a new tattoo the ink might react to the hair dye and cause redness in your skin. It explains it on the box. Its not anything to work about to majorly its just a warning/precaution.

What are the purposes and advantages of coloring your hair?

Why do people color their hair and what is the purpose?

What are the purposes and advantages of coloring your hair?

i colour my hair to see what looks the best on me. I'm also bored with my normal brown hair and want a change.

What are the purposes and advantages of coloring your hair?

i color my hair to get it to the color i want...

What are the purposes and advantages of coloring your hair?

because they are bored or do not like the color of their natural hair.

What are the purposes and advantages of coloring your hair?

peolpe color they hair because their are not satisfied with their natural hair color.

What are the purposes and advantages of coloring your hair?

The reason I color is that I'm turning gray but don't want to look old. I use my natural color and cover the gray.

What are the purposes and advantages of coloring your hair?

there are no advantages other than the change in color if your original was less appealing to you. the purpose is to change the color of your hair

What are the purposes and advantages of coloring your hair?

To hide grey, add shine, reduce the appearance of damage, brighten your skin and whole 'look'. My natural color is a mousy brown and I color to a light medium brown. It comes out with nice auburn highlights in the sun.

What are the purposes and advantages of coloring your hair?

I color my hair to hide the gray. Also I like the highlights and the shine I get. Fine hair will appear thicker because you are coating the hair shaft. Just remember never lighten or darken your hair more than 2 shades or it will look unnatural

What are the purposes and advantages of coloring your hair?

Well, usually at first to alleviate boredom from the same old thing, I think! But if you are going darker it has the added benefit of acting as a protective layer on your hair while making it shinier, a little thicker and healthier looking. It also helps to improve your self perception and self esteem if you like what you see in the mirror. For people who cover gray I think it is especially great because it helps them to look as young as they still feel inside.

Will coloring hair really kill lice AND thier eggs? What kind/color do I use?

Bang on.

Will coloring hair really kill lice AND thier eggs? What kind/color do I use?

NO, you need a medicated shampoo to kill lice. Nix, Rid, or Kwellada are the recommended brands. You will also need a fine tooth comb to comb out the nits (eggs) and repeat the shampoo as directed to kill the new lice as they hatch.

Will coloring hair really kill lice AND thier eggs? What kind/color do I use?

No it won't...use the proper product from your local drugstore (RID).

Will coloring hair really kill lice AND thier eggs? What kind/color do I use?

NO IT WONT

Will coloring hair really kill lice AND thier eggs? What kind/color do I use?

NO! RID Will though!

Will coloring hair really kill lice AND thier eggs? What kind/color do I use?

coloring does NOT kill lice and their eggs. You need a medicated shampoo.

Will coloring hair really kill lice AND thier eggs? What kind/color do I use?

Haircolor, even bleach, will not kill the eggs. The only way to completely get rid of them is to use an over the counter product, like RID. It's very important to follow the directions and repeat the treatment after a few days so you can be sure to kill any eggs that have hatched. It is tedious, but you also need to comb every single egg out.

I am a lady blessed with long hair. I would seek advise for coloring my hair w/o compromising on the

It is not allowed to have hair-cut in our community. I had several trims but still hair length is almost touching knees. I do not wanna put artificial color. Is it good idea to out mehendi..if yes..what is process to apply it.

I am a lady blessed with long hair. I would seek advise for coloring my hair w/o compromising on the silkyness

using henna is a good idea it will be good for hair growth but u can't see the color as soon u put it. u have to put it daily and it is a big trouble and a headache to handle it my aunt hair is little white she put for months and now hee hair is brown and looks nice.u can put henna so the moral of the story is effort is more and the result is the wonderful hair if u have time u can go fot it

u can get henna powder in the shop which is used only for hair color

take the powder add water to it then take a brush start putting on ur hair remember it should be very wet

then put the shower cap on ur hair and sit for hours

keep towel around ur neck and a tissue in ur hand bcz the juice of the henna will be dripping aroung ur neck and face

What are some tips for coloring really long hair at home?

I want to color my hair myself, but I am afraid I will miss some spots in the back.

What are some tips for coloring really long hair at home?

make sure you have enough color like maybe two boxes, and start and the top and work your way down...plenty of dye is the key.

What are some tips for coloring really long hair at home?

Color the top and the bottom and you probably need to get more than one color.Use that new John Frieda color. Its beautiful and keeps hair shiny and sleek.

What are some tips for coloring really long hair at home?

put news paper on the floor so the dye doesn`t stain anything

What are some tips for coloring really long hair at home?

If money is the key factor in wanting to do it at home, see if there are any nearby beauty schools or colleges that have a cosmetology department. It won't be as cheap as buying it yourself, but it will be done correctly with no missed places.

I speak from experience. Doing it at home can lead to disaster.

What are some tips for coloring really long hair at home?

Let a friend or that boy in the picture do it..

hey pipi -08 your hair even in your avatar looks like crap !!

What are some tips for coloring really long hair at home?

It depends on the color you're choosing. But for the most part start with the body of your hair because it takes longer to process, then apply to the roots last because the bodyheat will process the hair on your scalp.

Do I need to stop coloring my hair?

I have colored it more than 100 times and I think that I'm addicted to it. Do I have a problem? What will happen to my hair if I don't stop? PLZ HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do I need to stop coloring my hair?

I know it will stop it from growing and damage the hair. I suggest you stop coloring your hair. It can be addicting, but you need to set up a time line of I will not color my hair for 5 wks, then in 5 wks color your hair, then I will not color my hair for 6 wks and so on. It works you can stop !

Do I need to stop coloring my hair?

Best wishes too you and I hope you soon have healthy hair :) You will love it, I do mine and it took me years and years to stop coloring it :) Report It

Do I need to stop coloring my hair?

is your hair short or long? that matters.

Do I need to stop coloring my hair?

If your hair is starting to look unhealthy then it is a sign to stop - use some common sense.

Do I need to stop coloring my hair?

You are damaging your hair every time that you color it. I am sure that if you keep it conditioned it will be okay for now, but when you get older it might be so weak from the abuse that you may end up with thinning hair, or a lot of hair breakage.

Do I need to stop coloring my hair?

isnt there a cancer link to hair dye?

i read that somewere

Do I need to stop coloring my hair?

stop coloring it. when you dye your hair to much it turns grey.

Do I need to stop coloring my hair?

it will start to fall out

Do I need to stop coloring my hair?

it'll get weird you might have to cut it off or bleach it or something. cool it with the colors. get a color...stick with it.

and if have a real problem call the compulsive hair dying hotline: 1-800-HAIRDYE or join Hairdyers Anonymous. haha lol jk. talk to your hairdresser, kay?

Do I need to stop coloring my hair?

i have the same problem with my hair. do whatever you want to it and have fun but if starts to get too damaged or break then cool it off for a while. try sticking to semi permanent colors. as long as you keep it short and take good care of it you should be okay. just be aware of the consequences..layering so many different colors makes it almost impossible to get it a solid color and i have had chunks of my hair actually break off.

Do I need to stop coloring my hair?

Do you wear a lot of makeup too?

I ask this because it sounds like it could be a deeper problem. A lot of women do things to their hair when they are not satisfied with themselves in general, or have a hard time accepting the way they look. If this is a case, I suggest you go natural for a while, and focus on what you like about your body and what it can do for you, until you are more comfortable being you.

Do I need to stop coloring my hair?

If I were you I would stop because it would affect your hair by it being very dry and you would see thinning in you hair as you get older also the more you color it it would get white trust me i know i color my hair too.also your hair would get damaged

Do I need to stop coloring my hair?

I would say its worth considering toxicity but its really none of my business.

Do I need to stop coloring my hair?

I think you should try and see what your regular hair color is like to the people around you. Just let the color wear off if it's not permanent, and if it is permanent settle for a color close to the original color and leave it that way. You're damaging your hair everytime you color it.

Do I need to stop coloring my hair?

Yes or you would have to have grey hair.

Can I get blonde highlights after coloring my hair medium brown?

I dyed my hair a medium brown a month ago and it just looks too plain. I want to add a bunch of blonde highlights, but I know that "color doesn't lift color," so can I still do this? Is this blonde going to look more orangish? I don't want that to happen. Any suggestions, advice?

Can I get blonde highlights after coloring my hair medium brown?

highlights are great, just bleach to the tone that you want. you may need to use a toner to tone down anything brassy!

Can I get blonde highlights after coloring my hair medium brown?

yes just bleach what parts you want blonde!

Can I get blonde highlights after coloring my hair medium brown?

i have the same as the first guy

Can I get blonde highlights after coloring my hair medium brown?

my friend had that done to her hair and it looks really nice... as long as you get it done by a pro it will be fine. her blonde highlights don't look orange. maybe it depends which dye you use? should be ok though ^_^

Can I get blonde highlights after coloring my hair medium brown?

You can get blonde highlight in one area of your hair.

Can I get blonde highlights after coloring my hair medium brown?

YES YOU CAN...........iv done this so many time on my own hair! just be careful that you leave it on for long enough, i mean you don't want to walk round with ginger highlights now do u :)

Can I get blonde highlights after coloring my hair medium brown?

I always do my hair myself and I have never had a problem I think thats only if you try to dye your hair when its really dark, there should be no reason why that should happen.

Can I get blonde highlights after coloring my hair medium brown?

I JUST DID THAT ABOUT TWO WEEKS AGO... BUT U NEED TO BLEACH THE STRANDS YOU WANT BLONDE AND THEN APPLY A TONER TO GET THE COLOR OF BLONDE YOU WANT.

Can I get blonde highlights after coloring my hair medium brown?

Yes, just don't do it yourself because it is a 2 step process and it really needs to be done professionally or you will have orange hair. I worked in a hair salon for 6 years, and you can try to do it at home, but having to take the color off and put a toner on the same strands is hard to do when you can't completely see your entire head.

Can I get blonde highlights after coloring my hair medium brown?

OK it perfectly fine if you put highlights you waited a good enough amount of time if you want Blond Highlight you can Bleach them But i Don't recommend it it Over process your hair leave it ti the Pro Believe me i had BAD experiences with color

Can I get blonde highlights after coloring my hair medium brown?

I have brown hair with blond highlights-

tell your stylist to bring your highlights to an 8 or a 9, than apply a toner over your entire head for 5-10 minutes, and wash immedietly. The highlights will be a nice golden blond, with out getting a brassy orange color.

Can I get blonde highlights after coloring my hair medium brown?

do yourself a favor... dont go with blond, stick with carmel highlights so you dont stick out like a sore thumb

Can I get blonde highlights after coloring my hair medium brown?

If the highlights are not too think it usually looks good!:)

Can I get blonde highlights after coloring my hair medium brown?

Oh, absolutely! I did it with my hair, and it turned out awesome! I put tons of highlights in though, but it looks really good. I would say go for it!

At Mario Tricoci in Old Orchard they butchered my hair with a coloring.I wanted my grey covered.?

I have dishwater blonde hair and I also asked them to make it one shade lighter. I had a out of town wedding to go to that weekend. I was horrified and in tears when it came out red. I had never colored my hair before in my life and am now too afraid to have them do anything more to me. Has anyone else had a bad experience with Mario Tricoci and is there anything that I might be able to do to get this embarrassing color out of my hair? I don't know how they could of gotten it so wrong but this experience with them has harmed me emotionally and I know that no matter how grey my hair gets I will never again color it. This is also a warning to other women out there!!

At Mario Tricoci in Old Orchard they butchered my hair with a coloring.I wanted my grey covered.?

I would suggest going to another salon in the area and asking them to remove the color. also It's ovbious that you pull red, so you're going to have them counteract the red you pull you'll have to tell the new stylist that when you get it redone. There's not much you can do it fix it at home. Coloring is kind of a confusing science and some times it's hard to know what you're going to pull when coloring.

I am a cosmetologist wiith 10 years experence and i still get it wrong sometimes.

My main suggestion is to go back to where you had it done and ask them to fix it for free. if they don't then pretty much find some one new to do it.

Can you be addicted to coloring your hair ?

im never happy with my hair..... soo i used to change it every week, brown, light brown, brown with highlights, all bleach blonde, dark blonde, black ( ugh.... ) faded to green, brown again.....

i think the damage scare has scared me off of the bleach and dye, ive promised myself " no more! even if your hair turns an ugly color, no bleach or dye! "- surprisingly... my hair is still thick and shiney! =DDD

Do you know anybody like this ?

Can you be addicted to coloring your hair ?

yes, myself. it really is awful. i've had my hair dark brown, black, really blonde, two toned black and blonde, pink, black with pink streaks and now its blonde again but a healthy one because i stopped dying it. its a very common addiction!

RELAXING (PERMING) MY HAiR AFTER PERMANENTLY COLORING IT?

I COLORED MY HAIR LAST NIGHT AROUND 7,8,9-ISH AND NOW ITS 10:11AM THE NEXT DAY WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO MY HAIR IF I PERM IT.

RELAXING (PERMING) MY HAiR AFTER PERMANENTLY COLORING IT?

Dont do it!! You should wait at least 2 or 3 weeks before getting a perm. If you perm it now it will come out very dry and brittle and have a ton of brakeage. It will leave your hair unhealthy. I dont advise that you use heat on your hair for the first couple of days. Try to keep the heat minimal for the 2 to 3 week period. Also, for the first couple of months, each time after washing your hair you should deep condition it by applying conditioner and a showercap and sitting under the dryer for about 10 or 15 mins. This will nourish your hair.

RELAXING (PERMING) MY HAiR AFTER PERMANENTLY COLORING IT?

Umm dry up??!!

RELAXING (PERMING) MY HAiR AFTER PERMANENTLY COLORING IT?

you have to wait about 2 weeks. get your hair back in shape. you cannot mix two chemicals within weeks of each other such as perm/color or relaxer/color, because each of these causes a chemical change in your hair and damages it in some way. you can, however, relax your hair then use a tint or semi permanent color in the same day because these colors do not cause a chemical change and do not open the cutical of your hair, they just deposit color. if you used a permanent color you will definately have to wait. as far as heat goes you will be fine as long as you use a good flat iron spry to protect your hair from the heat. i flat iron and blowdry my hair about 4-5 times a week and my hair is still undamaged, soft and shiny! you just need soem good products to help with heat protect. if you need me to recommend some drop me a line via e-mail.

RELAXING (PERMING) MY HAiR AFTER PERMANENTLY COLORING IT?

You will over process your hair. You must wait 10-12 days before relaxing your hair.

What is the best technique for coloring long thick curly hair?

my hair is really thick and really curly, and long. I'm afriad that it will take soo long on one side of my hair, once I move to the other side, the first side would already be processed. Which is the best and painless way to color curly hair at home? I don't want to go to a professional.

What is the best technique for coloring long thick curly hair?

hey................ hair coloring products a good in the below mentioned website.............i.think this may help uuuuuuuuu

What is the best technique for coloring long thick curly hair?

I used to think the same thing..I have long. thick, curly hair as well. Most colors only process to a certain level. If you are making your hair lighter..you may have to be a little more careful, but it's really not that different. And be sure to get more than you think you will need!

I always start with the top...and work my way down, instead of moving from one side to the other;)

What is the best technique for coloring long thick curly hair?

Buy two to three kits to cover the entire head. Just have to work fast.

Does you hair hold coloring?

Because my hair doesn't! Washes out after about 3 or 4 washes...when it should last around 28 or more...I'm not really miffed...but does anyone else experience this?

Does you hair hold coloring?

Are you coloring it yourself or going to a salon? My hair color lasts (except grow out at roots of course), but I go to a salon to get it colored with permanent color. It could be the product you are using. If you go to a salon, you should definitely go back and have them redo the color and make sure you are using a permanent color. If it isn't permanent, it will fade over time.

Does you hair hold coloring?

Yeah, but it's probably that the company you're using is a bit of a rip off.

The generally are.

Does you hair hold coloring?

it's been light brown my entire life

and that's been a pretty long time

so, yea, i guess it holds well

Does you hair hold coloring?

you should buy permanent dye and it should stay longer.

Does you hair hold coloring?

I got highlights done at a salon about 2 years ago. They screwed them up...real bad.

...They're still here now, but only at the tips because of my hair growing and getting trimmed.

Anyone have success with coloring their hair without hair dyes?

I am severely allergic to all hair dyes, even those found in health-food stores. My hair is black and getting white (not grey) around my temples. Anything else I can do to color just the white? I have tried those "touch-up" pencils, but they are messy and sticky.

Anyone have success with coloring their hair without hair dyes?

Well an indian way is to put Henna. At those indian grocery stores you can find little tubes of Henna. Then leave it for around 2 hours. Henna is a natural ingredient from some plant.

Anyone have success with coloring their hair without hair dyes?

NOT SURE BUT GOOD LUCK

Ugh! i need help coloring my hair!!?

okay, i have long wavy blonde hair that wont stay colored!! i'm trying to go to a nice, medium brown, but even supposed permanent dyes wash out in a few months! i have tried colors close to the one i want, but they're even worse, to get the color i want i need to use a really dark shade! why arent these dyes working for me??

Ugh! i need help coloring my hair!!?

you should try talking to a hair dresser.

Ugh! i need help coloring my hair!!?

try bleaching your hair b4 you dye it

Ugh! i need help coloring my hair!!?

ok, first permanent dyes will fade after a time, you need

to dye every couple of months if you want your hair color looking nice and second, to get it to look really nice, have it done by a professional. good luck

Ugh! i need help coloring my hair!!?

Whether the dyes are permanent or not, the color still only lasts about 6 weeks....that is just how it is! But, your hair might not be coloring properly because you have either dyed it too many times, or you are using the wrong dye. I suggest getting it professionally done so that they can give you all the info you need, and in the future, you wont have a problem dying your hair!

Ugh! i need help coloring my hair!!?

I know where you are coming from. I have long blond hair and it never holds hair color. What you could try is start from the bottom of your head and comb the dye in and try to put it on thick. Let it set for about 10 minutes longer unless it is burning your scalp too bad. Now it will still fade over time but it dyes every strand of hair. AND DO NOT BLEACH YOUR HAIR. IT WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AND YOU WILL FRY YOUR HEAD!!!!!

Ugh! i need help coloring my hair!!?

try useing a shampoo and condisaner for coloured hair...this should stop your colour fading...just remeber every colour fades x

Good luck.

Why does my hair always turn brassy after coloring... professional or at home?

My hair has a lot of red undertones, but my hair is medium brown in its natural state. Every time I color my hair, it starts out pretty and then turns brassy or orangey... I want highlights for the summer... is there something I can tell the stylist so that he can combat the brassiness? Please hook me up with some info!!!

Why does my hair always turn brassy after coloring... professional or at home?

okay... when i get my hair colored i always ask for a glaze after coloring, especially before summer. the glaze helps lock in the color so my highlights won't turn brassy so easily. but it doesnt stop there... when you go home, make sure you are using a color care shampoo... you don't need some expensive salon brand, i find the loreal color vive to be pretty good. also, when you wash and condition your hair, make sure the water isn't steaming hot. using lukewarm water won't damage the hair as much which often leads to discoloration.

Why does my hair always turn brassy after coloring... professional or at home?

This is probably because of the fading, the brassy colors tend to stay longer than the blues and so the brown becomes more red than it is green. Have you tried different brands? Have you considered a lighter color (blond might not give you the brassy color)? Have you brought this problem up when with your stylist?

Why does my hair always turn brassy after coloring... professional or at home?

are you using cheap shampoo and conditioner?? I had this problem with my highlights. My stylist told me it was probably because I was using a crappy shampoo containing harsh detergents and even alcohol. I swear by HALO shampoo and conditioner. It protects my blonde highlights really well even in the harsh sun of south florida. I recommend HALO, Paul Mitchell, or Redken.

Of course their are other factors that contribute to brassiness. Since your hair is natural darker your stylist probably needs to strip your hair color first then apply the color. Product build up like hairspray and waxy residues from cheap conditioners can make the blonde dull. To remove the residue rinse your hair with a lemon juice and vinegar mixture. Smelly? yes. But it does work.

Why does my hair always turn brassy after coloring... professional or at home?

When you lighten hair, you're stripping the color away layer by layer until you get to the base contributing pigments. In your case, that color is red, so as you strip the layers of color your hair goes from brown to the next layer, brassy (because of the red). Let your stylist know about this, and they can put a toner on your lightened hair. This will add the needed complementary color to correct the brass.

For example, if your hair is too Orange, they may add a toner with a slightly blue tinge, but don't worry, it's not enough to turn your hair blue, just enough to cancel the orange. Good luck!

Why does my hair always turn brassy after coloring... professional or at home?

Do you live in the country, suburb, or country? If you live in suburb or country, you need to use a shampoo that is made for that type of water. It has rust in it and that is what turns your hair brassy looking. Or if you can, get a water softener to eliminate the rust. Your hair stylist will have the shampoo for rust water.

Why does my hair always turn brassy after coloring... professional or at home?

when you get your hair colored ask your hairdressor for whatever color you want and ask her to get a color product with more of an ash undertone. if you use color with red undertones on hair that naturaly has redundertones itll turn up coppery so tey a color with an ash base. hth

Why does my hair always turn brassy after coloring... professional or at home?

if you want to remove the brassy look, make sure the hair dye you use says "ash" on it this will give a natural colour without the red or orange undertone. Eg. ash light brown, light natural ash blond, dark ash brown, choose colours that are either 2 shades lighter than your natural colour or 1 shade darker for a natural effect that will look nice and different from you natural colour. If the hairdresser doesnt know this they shouldn't be in the job! do it yourself get a dye and put it on for 20 minutes, if you choose an ash shade it should look good with a nice highlight through your hair.

Is coloring your hair too much bad for you?

Is it true that if you color your hair too much, then over time, it will begin to fall out?

Is coloring your hair too much bad for you?

I've colored my hair quite a bit and it has seemed to get thinner over time and is more prone to breaking and damage.

Is coloring your hair too much bad for you?

yes it is not good for ur hair at all

dont do it too much

and her hair would start falling out

Is coloring your hair too much bad for you?

That's what I've heard.

Is coloring your hair too much bad for you?

Yes, coloring to much is bad for your hair. It's possibly it could fall out because it becomes weak.

Luckily, they're products that can restore damaged hair.

Is coloring your hair too much bad for you?

yah and ur gonna get a lot of white hair

Is coloring your hair too much bad for you?

too much chemical processing is bad for your hair and it will lead to breakage and dead hair but hair health can always be restored with help from a good stylist...long story short don't do any drastic coloring without professional help

Is coloring your hair too much bad for you?

yes

Is coloring your hair too much bad for you?

yes it starts to fry your hair and looks bad

Is coloring your hair too much bad for you?

never colored my hair, but I don't see anyone here where I live with bald head, yet- most women color their hair here

Is coloring your hair too much bad for you?

Color and chemical processes are tricky. It all depends on your hair texture, density, porosity, and elasticity. If you have dark hair and you constantly bleach your hair, then yes, you run the risk of breaking your hair. If you use a regular hair color and just have the regrowth colored every month or so, then you should be fine. Usually, I will use a permanent hair color when I change my shade and then refresh the color every month with a semi-permanent which is less damaging. If you also use good products and have a good hair maintenance system, then you should be fine.

Is coloring your hair too much bad for you?

Yes that's true. Hair colors are chemicals and will weaken the hair if done too often. Before coloring, ask your hairstylist to evaluate the condition of your hair. Use rinses rather than permanent colors to try color without too much damage.

Is coloring your hair too much bad for you?

It is bad for your hair and you will end up looking like a street walker.

Is coloring your hair too much bad for you?

it won't fall out but it will start to break off if you color constantly. coloring too much damages the hair, but even if your hair is okay, coloring is bad for you. unless you get it done at a salon and they use foils, the color gets into your scalp and causes cancer. if you color on the scalp to much, there are a bunch of bad effects it can cause to you and your hair.

Is coloring your hair too much bad for you?

Yes. It tends to damage the hair and also causes it to thin out. Also, this is not old wives' tale...It also encourages premature greying if it contains peroxide or ammonia. You'll see.

Is coloring your hair too much bad for you?

yeah. Or your hair is gonna get all frizzy and hardto control.

Is coloring your hair too much bad for you?

if you over process it, yes, it can fall out..... a stylist

Is coloring your hair while pregnant bad or an old wives tale?

im a little past 30 weeks and want to color my hair.. is it alright or should i be worried?

Is coloring your hair while pregnant bad or an old wives tale?

no hunny its just an old wives tale

Is coloring your hair while pregnant bad or an old wives tale?

it is not a wives tale.....................wait till the baby is born....................the fumes may harm the baby..................for sure

Is coloring your hair while pregnant bad or an old wives tale?

it's not an old wife's tale, the reason why you shouldn't color your hair while you are pregnant is because of the harsh chemicals in the hair dye, which can seep through your skin and gets to your baby and can harm him/her.

Is coloring your hair while pregnant bad or an old wives tale?

I have colored my hair while being pregnant and my children are just fine....so go for it!!!!!

Is coloring your hair while pregnant bad or an old wives tale?

It's better for the baby NOT to expose yourself to any chemicals right now.

Is coloring your hair while pregnant bad or an old wives tale?

There is no complete scientific study that has been done to prove or disprove that old wives tale. Im a blonde and had recently died my hair RED when I found out I was pregnant, My docter said it was OK to dye it back, as long as it was done in a well ventilated area...that is the worry, not the chemicals themselves, but the fumes from them...I would save it until afterwards, youll probably want to make a big change after having the baby, thats when you should pamper yourself...plus, better safe then sorry, If it looks fine now [I was starting to look like a skunk] dont do anything, you only have a few more weeks to go.

Is coloring your hair while pregnant bad or an old wives tale?

Its just like getting a tattoo while pregnant. The chemicals in the hair dye or the tattoo can really harm the baby. When you dye your hair some of the chemicals actually seep into your skin, its unavoidable, those are the chemicals that can harm your unborn baby.

Is coloring your hair while pregnant bad or an old wives tale?

I don't think it's an old wives tale...the chemicals are harmful to your baby

Some salons offer organic hair dyes....maybe you should try that until the baby is born

Is coloring your hair while pregnant bad or an old wives tale?

it doesnt matter if you color your hair, i mean how much harm can it really do?

Is coloring your hair while pregnant bad or an old wives tale?

i have haerd that it is ok after the first trimester. i have done it and so have many other pregnant women that i know.

Is coloring your hair while pregnant bad or an old wives tale?

I regularly colored my hair during my pregnancy and my daughter is testing in IQ tests with a score of 145. Obviously it didn't hurt her brain and she is also as healthy as a horse. Go for it. Just don't dye your hair excessively. You could also use Henna if you want a natural product or a vegetable dye without ammonia. They sell them at Wild Oats or Whole Foods and they're relatively inexpensive. The only downside to Henna is the smell (like alfalfa) and it takes a long time to wash out.

Is coloring your hair while pregnant bad or an old wives tale?

when i was pregnant i got my hair done over and over nothing happened to me

Is coloring your hair while pregnant bad or an old wives tale?

Everyone has their own oppinion on this. The fact of the matter is that the chemical in hair dye today is a lot less harsh than it was 20 years ago. I had my hair highlighte at 14 weeks with permission from my doctor. I feel that it is important to feel good about yourself during pregnancy and dying your hair should not hurt your baby. I did however read that because of all the extra hormones your hair may react differently than it didso to be careful as your color may not turn out like you expected. Best of luck and happy pampering :)

Is coloring your hair while pregnant bad or an old wives tale?

It's the fumes in the hair dye that are cause for concern... it's the ammonnia... but as long as you do it in a well ventalated area or out side it won;t harm the baby.... Just try and keep the process to your hair simple and only one application... meaning don;t go for a colour, then highlights then a toner... just one step hair colour... If you go to a hair stylist they are more then willing to keep you in an area that is well ventelated and may also reccommend a "low ammonnia" toner... Like a semi permanent like Shades EQ.

Also... Tattoos don;t give off any harmful fumes like hair colour.. they are non-toxic! (hence them being able to stay under your skin with out effect)

And chemicals from hair color cannot be absorbed through the skin and passed on to the baby.. it doesn;t enter your blood stream. (that is the old wives tale part)

I am coloring my hair......?

I was once a blonde, then i decided to go brunette, then earlier last month I got blonde highlights, well the highlights are growing out now and it looks really funky, if I was to color my hair blonde again would the color turn red on the brunette parts?? i juss wanna make sure. A lady at the salon said color wouldn't take at all but then how come I can do highlights?? thanks for your answers!

I am coloring my hair......?

when highlights are done, the hair is bleached - that's why blonde takes to it more. blonde won't color the brunette red, but it may not show how you like it if you're using color from a box. when going lighter, always get it professionally done

I am coloring my hair......?

i think the best thing to do is to go to the salon again and ask them if they can up-lift the brunette color you have and then get a color to match your highlights or your natural color. and this is safer than bleaching it. good luck! =D

I am coloring my hair......?

Wow. You are going to end up losing your hair at this rate. Then you won't have to worry about it (hehe). Things to remember: When you are going from dark to light you are using bleach, when you go from light to dark you are using color. Sometimes those two don't go together. It is possible the color would turn the highlights into orange or even green! I'd listen to the hairstylist (this is what they go to school for). Stop playing hairdresser on your self!

Box die for coloring my hair blonde!?

i am gonna color my hair blonde - like with a box die

my hair is naturally and currently the olor of avril lavignes before she died it really blonde

i am going to get it colored like reese witherspoons in legally blonde.

i am gonna use a box die

this won't change my hair orange - will it?

Box die for coloring my hair blonde!?

I would get herbal essences 'blonded by the light' or something like that. It has a girl with short hair turning around with her hair covering one of her eyes.

This is the best boxed bleach that I've tried that I had gorgeous results with.

Your hair won't turn orange if you leave the bleach in long enough.. and if you got a good brand of hair color.

Box die for coloring my hair blonde!?

No because right now your hair is very light and if you dyed it blonde it should turn out the exact shade on the box.

Box die for coloring my hair blonde!?

yes you need to have it professionally done because box dies are not meant to lighten or bleach out your hair. also when you lighten your hair, it needs to be toned, (which is what gets rid of the orange or brassy color). box dyes don't carry this. i don't recommend it.

My hair is falling out because i kept on coloring my hair back to back to get it to the right color,

color i used was black, and now my hair is fallen out, are there any product out there that can help my hair to stop fallen out, and well my hair ever grow back.

My hair is falling out because i kept on coloring my hair back to back to get it to the right color, the last?

Badly damaged hair breaks at the scalp. To treat hair loss apply a little lemon juice with some black tea. Massage well and shampoo.Rub oil into the scalp. Wring out a towel in hot water and wrap it on the head. Keep it on for 15 minutes. Shampoo and dry well. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.

My hair is falling out because i kept on coloring my hair back to back to get it to the right color, the last?

Your hair will grow back... if you stop dying it. How badly is it falling out? If it's just everytime shower there's a clump of hair at the bottom of the drain, then you just have terrible damage and breakage. If it's falling out at the roots then it could be a serious problem, especially if there is alot.

My advice is to IMMEDIATELY STOP dying your hair, as hard as it may be. Deep condition, cut some off, and give it ALOT of time to grow. You can try using a thickening shampoo and conditioner which helps hair grow out a little thicker and very very so slightly quicker. Avoid shampoos, conditioners, and other products and dyes that contain ANY sort of sulfate (which is hard to come by so try your local health food store) and low-no ammonia.

I hope everything works out well.

My hair is falling out because i kept on coloring my hair back to back to get it to the right color, the last?

yes..... your hair will grow back.....but most stylist will suggest that you cut your hair because of over coloring your hair..... i suggest that you go to a stylist that's really good at their job( some people say they do hair but cant) some ones who could get your hair back healthy......you should also try a rinse instead of dying your hair with harsh chemicals........

My hair is falling out because i kept on coloring my hair back to back to get it to the right color, the last?

STOP DYING YOU HAIR!!!!!!!! if you stop then no hair will fall

out because the chemicals in hair dye can ruin your hair and make it fall out so stop dying your hair. your natural hair color is the best for you!!!

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Coloring my hair at home.. does it really matter when I color?

I have heard that color works the best if you haven't washed your hair in a day.

Coloring my hair at home.. does it really matter when I color?

I heard u gotta wait 12 hours before getting it wet

Coloring my hair at home.. does it really matter when I color?

not really

Coloring my hair at home.. does it really matter when I color?

Don't wash your hair the day you are going to color it....

Coloring my hair at home.. does it really matter when I color?

yes just use koolaide to dye yoru hair LOL

Coloring my hair at home.. does it really matter when I color?

I color my hair a lot, and it doesn't really matter when you dye it.

Coloring my hair at home.. does it really matter when I color?

COLOR HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH WHEN U WASH UR HAIR..THE ONLY THING THAT HAPPENS IS THAT IF UR HAIR IS CLEAN THEN THE DYE WILL ITCH MORE THEN USUAL..BUT NOTHIN TO DO WITH COLOR=)

Coloring my hair at home.. does it really matter when I color?

Color will hold best when the hair is the way it will most likely be all the time. Does that make sense? What I mean is, if you generally wash your hair 1-2 times a day, then do it after washing. If you wash it less than 1 time a day, then do it before washing. You're going to have to wash the color out anyway.

Also, is there any way you could go to a stylist to have that done? I know it's expensive, but you'll look SO much better.

Coloring my hair at home.. does it really matter when I color?

Your scalp might sting more if you recently washed it (hours before). Your best to wait for a day or at least half a day ( dye in the evening).

Coloring my hair at home.. does it really matter when I color?

I dont see what difference it makes. I have dyed my hair after the day that i washed it and there was no difference. I personally think that if you wash (or even rinse) your hair it is better when you apply the hair color. And most hair dyes have you start will damp hair anyway so i dont think it makes a difference.

Coloring gray hair?

I have a ton of gray hair, and I'm only 30. I colorit and it seems to come back within a week or two. Why won't it hold color?

Coloring gray hair?

Coloring my hair...part2?

ok i asked ealrier if i should dye my blonde hair black or put black strikes in it...but to give u a better i dea go to www.myspace.com/playgirlxxx theres a pic of me.. tell me wut color best fits me... thankzzzz!!!

Coloring my hair...part2?

why on earth would you want to ruin your blonde hair?

Cursed with very dark brown hair, you are lucky !

Coloring my hair...part2?

go all black. i hate the stupid blonde hair and black **** on anyone sooooo dont do it.

Coloring my hair...part2?

DUDE your a super blondie, why the hell would you do black?? That would look awful on your skin tone because your hella light! If you want to do a dark color, go for a light brown and make sure you dye your eyebrows too, but don't put the dye on your eyebrows as long as you do on your hair, leave it on for half the time it says on the box, you don't want to be overly dramatic. Then slowly move on to darker colors. I highly suggest REVALON's High Dimesnions hair color line. It takes 10 minutes, they have beautiful colors (i use 40), you can find it at Walgreens or Longs. What a lot of us dark hair people hate seeing is someone with naturally light hair dye their hair hella dark and when it's growing out it's blonde and it looks soo light it makes the person look nasty.. BEST OF LUCK!!

Coloring my hair...part2?

i don't think you should go all the way to black..it's too intense. maybe try a warm chocolate brown shade.

Coloring my hair...part2?

have you thought about "dark" brown streaks. black will be so.... black. i think that would be cool. the contrast would look like it was black. of course, you must know that it will fade out. if you blonde hair ia a warm blonde, you'll have to use a "warm dark brown. "if you have a cool blonde tress, you can use a "plain dark brown". COOL AND WARM DON'T MIX. YOU GET GREEN. and you know you don't need green hair. halloween is over. or you might consider coloring you hair dark brown and re streaking it blonde. that would be simple. (if you hair is in good condition) good luck

Coloring my hair...part2?

Definately go with a mahogany brown

Coloring your hair?

what is a photo editing site that allows you to select a section of your body {example: hair} and change the color? Just the hair, though. Nothing else.

Coloring your hair?

Loreal paris used to have one...also try clairol....

Dying/Coloring My Hair.?

I'm 19, white, and with an oval-esque face. My hair right now is getting on the longer side, and since I have naturally wavy hair I think it's starting to look pretty scruffy, thus I'm getting it cut in a couple days. I was looking to get a new style, but I'm not sure

what to do with it, so I'm taking any ideas people may have. My color is a dark blonde or a light brown, call it what you will.

Should I leave the color or try something new? What about for a style? What do you think, girls? Who's got a style that you like?

Dying/Coloring My Hair.?

My suggestion would be to remain natural. I think it is always more flattering. Stick with a style that is natural also. Not one that you have to try to train your hair in a different way than it wants to go. It will be much easier to take care of, and most of the time it is the most flattering to the person also.

Coloring Pubic Hair?

Coloring Pubic Hair?

Coloring Pubic Hair?

well normally, coloring hair down there isn't a concern to most... but whatever floats your boat. try kool-aid or something.

Coloring Pubic Hair?

They don't make green hair dye for pubic hair. Most women shave anyway. You are probably out of luck.

Coloring Pubic Hair?

Would'nt it look like moss or some kind of fungus??

Coloring Pubic Hair?

Coloring Pubic Hair?

But gfrnd is urs life is urs.Good luck for the experiment.

Does coloring your hair damage it alot?

i don't color my hair like frequently, maybe three times a year. am I killing my hair?

Does coloring your hair damage it alot?

Coloring in moderation, like you do isn't too bad, but keep in mind that every time you do it your hair does get slightly more damage done to it. However, since you only color your hair about 3 times a year I think you're hair should be fine.

If you color it too much, it will become very dry and have many split ends due to the strong chemicals and dye used. If you start to notice your hair being more dry than usual, or having more split ends than usual, you should probably give your hair a long rest before you color it again.

Does coloring your hair damage it alot?

you aren`t killling it, no.

because look at the women aged 20 maybe 30 and up,

who have gray hair!

they have to dye their`s every 6 to 8 weeks.. that sounds harsh, but they seem to have great hair even still..

so don`t worry about it, your fine!!

x

happy coloring.

Does coloring your hair damage it alot?

Well it depends what you are doing. Are you going darker or lighter. Going lighter damages your hair a lot more because of the bleach. 3 times of a year is not that much. Just make sure to get it trimmed regulary and moisturize a lot!

Does coloring your hair damage it alot?

No

Does coloring your hair damage it alot?

Its hard on your hair, yes but you can buy special shampoos to undo damage and condition your hair. Remeber your hairs already dead it wont do much harm once and a while!

Does coloring your hair damage it alot?

You are not killing it but eventually it will catch up to you.

After a while your hair will become thin and brittle, try to stay with your normal color, it is not bad, it helps in the future

Does coloring your hair damage it alot?

It won't hurt your hair to color it.

Need help with coloring my hair?

I have natruel dark hair, had my stylest turn it blond. Now I have black roots and light ends. I want to change my whole color again to lighter than it is now on the ends. I have 30 devleoper will this work with just a color from sally's or do I need to bleech / strip it then color it? Or will just leaving the color %26amp; devolper in longer get the lighter color. Also have a few grays. ugh. Thanks.

Need help with coloring my hair?

Go back to your stylist! I've tried to do my own hair (I also have naturally dark hair...brown). I always wind up going to the hairdresser to "fix" it after several attempts and some dry, frizzy hair!

Need help with coloring my hair?

Go to a pro that will do a good job for virtually no money. Tell them the color that you want, but ask if you can see what it will turn out like before you start.

Need help with coloring my hair?

Yes if you want lighter hair Loreal makes, Loreal Les blondiness,i used extra light ash blonde ,they make it i believe three shades in the blonde natural, biege, ash, you can choose the shade that best fits your complexion.it's the lightest that they make develop time is 45 minutes..i would wait a couple of weeks before coloring.hope i helped you good luck..oh btw i have dark hair too..

Need help with coloring my hair?

you are gonna have to strip it because color will not lift color-and most likely have to use a high volume developer on your roots since they are dark.do not leave it on longer, that will just damage your hair.i would suggest going to a salon,it would be cheaper to go now then to attempt something yourself and have to go and get corrective color.corrective color costs a lot more then just getting it done right the first time.good luck

Need help with coloring my hair?

you will turn it orange if you do it yourself.
